Hello <\/span>Snippeteers! \u00a0I’m back! And it only seems fitting that my Rainbow Snipper this month is from the novel I wrote for last year’s NaNoWriMo. This week has been pretty spectacular for me as Knotted Legacy was chosen as one of The Lesbian Review’s Top\u00a0100 Vacation Novels<\/a>. \u00a0I’m doing NaNoWriMo again this year, and am writing Martha’s sister Elaine’s story. Elaine aka Cook from the Rowan House series is a loose cannon type of character who always surprise me. Here is to everyone doing NaNoWriMo, may your words flow like a raging river.<\/span><\/p>\n

From Knotted Legacy:<\/span><\/p>\n

Lucia finished her bite of cracker. \u201cWhy does she want to keep me away from you?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Martha held her Mistress\u2019s gaze. \u201cJealous.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOf me? She doesn\u2019t seem to have a problem with any of the others showing you attention. Not even Myfanwy.\u201d She took another bite of her cracker and finished it.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s protective. She worries I\u2019ll get hurt.\u201d<\/span>
\n\u201cAre you worried?\u201d<\/span>
\nMartha shifted her gaze and avoided her Mistress\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>eyes. \u201cIt makes no sense to worry about pain, Miss. It wouldn\u2019t be life if there wasn\u2019t pain.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Lucia reached down and touched Martha\u2019s chin. She lifted it and looked into her eyes. She rubbed her thumb over Martha\u2019s cheek, her gaze soft. \u201cNo, pet, it wouldn\u2019t be.\u201d She clasped her chin for a long moment and then released her.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Rainbow Snippets(\u00a0<\/span>https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/RainbowSnippets\/<\/a>)is a group for LGBTQ+ authors, readers, and bloggers to gather once a week to share six sentences from a work of fiction\u2013a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!).<\/p>\n

In this group, you\u2019ll find anything from romance and historical fiction to mystery and YA. The common thread is that every story\u2019s main character identifies as LGBTQ+. The snippets could range from zero flames to full-on sexytimes, anything goes content-wise. The only rule is snippets will be 6 sentences long\u2013one for each color in the Pride flag.<\/p>\n
